These terms govern the CiteHawk partner programme. They apply from the day your application is approved, alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Commission
You earn 30% of every payment a customer you referred makes to CiteHawk, calculated on the amount actually charged, for the life of that customer. There is no cap and no expiry while the customer keeps paying.
Once you reach 10 active paying customers, your rate rises to 40% and stays at 40% for life. Tiers are reviewed weekly. The higher rate applies to the customers you refer after your promotion; customers referred before it keep earning at the rate they were referred on.
Partners also get early access to new CiteHawk features before general release, so you can describe them accurately when they ship. Early-access features are previews and may change before release.
2. Attribution
Your referral link sets a cookie that lasts 90 days, placed by the Rewardful script that runs our programme. Where more than one partner link has been followed, the last click wins.
The cookie is strictly necessary to honour the offer you advertised and to pay you for it: without it we cannot tell that the customer arrived through you. It is disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
3. Approval and payouts
- Approval is instant. You get your link the same day you apply, and no interview or waiting period applies.
- Each commission is released 30 days after the payment it was earned on, once the refund window on that payment has closed. A refunded or charged-back payment earns no commission.
- Payouts are made once your released balance reaches $50. Balances below that carry forward until they do.
- Payouts are made through Rewardful, which collects the payment and tax details it needs from you directly.
4. Terms lock
The commission rate, tier threshold and cookie length in force when you were approved apply to you for as long as you remain a partner. CiteHawk may change the published terms for new partners at any time; such changes never apply to existing partners.
5. Prohibited promotion
The following end a commission and, if repeated, close the account:
- Self-referral: referring yourself, your own company, a company you control, or a company that controls you.
- Paid search on the CiteHawk brand terms, including the brand name and close misspellings of it, on any advertising network.
- Listing the offer on coupon, voucher, cashback or discount-code sites, or building a page whose purpose is to intercept a search for our brand.
- Misleading claims about what CiteHawk does, in particular any claim that it changes, guarantees or buys a ranking, and any claim that a placement in the CiteHawk AI Index can be bought, arranged or influenced by us.
- Unsolicited bulk email or messaging, impersonating CiteHawk, or presenting your referral link as an official CiteHawk domain.
6. Disclosure
Wherever you share your link or recommend CiteHawk for a commission, you must say plainly, before the reader follows the link, that you earn a commission if they subscribe. Words such as "I earn a commission if you subscribe through this link" are enough; a disclosure hidden in a footer or behind a click is not.
This is what the Australian Consumer Law and the guidance of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) on affiliate and influencer content require, and the equivalent rules apply wherever you operate. A commission earned on promotion that carried no disclosure is forfeited.
7. Customer offer
A customer who arrives on your link gets 20% off their first month. One discount applies at a time: where another offer is already in force, the customer receives one of them, not both, and your commission is calculated on the amount actually charged.
8. Termination
You may leave the programme at any time. Commissions already released remain payable, and a balance below the payout minimum is paid at the next payout once it is reached.
We may end your participation for a breach of these terms, for conduct that damages the CiteHawk brand, or where the programme itself is discontinued. Where we end your participation for reasons other than a breach, commissions already earned on live customers are released on the normal schedule. Where we end it for a breach, commissions attached to the breaching activity are forfeited.
