Getting Started
Welcome to CiteHawk. This guide will help you set up your account and get the most out of AI brand monitoring.
1. Create Your First Brand
After signing up, the onboarding wizard walks you through adding your first brand. Enter your brand name and, optionally, related keywords that AI platforms might use when referring to your product or company. Keywords help CiteHawk cast a wider net when scanning AI responses for mentions of your brand.
2. Understanding Your Dashboard
Your dashboard surfaces the metrics that matter most: your visibility score (how prominently your brand appears across AI platforms), citation count (total references found), and response tracking (individual AI responses that mention your brand). The daily trend chart shows how these numbers change over time so you can spot shifts early.
3. Setting Up Alerts
Navigate to Settings > Alerts to configure email notifications. You can receive alerts when your visibility score changes significantly, when new citations are discovered, or on a scheduled daily or weekly digest. Alerts keep you informed without needing to check the dashboard constantly.
4. Generating Reports
The Reports tab lets you generate on-demand or scheduled reports of your brand performance. Export as PDF for stakeholder presentations or Google Sheets for further analysis. Each report captures visibility trends, citation details, and platform-by-platform breakdowns.
5. API Access
CiteHawk provides a REST API for programmatic access to your monitoring data. Generate an API key in Settings > API Keys and consult the API documentation for endpoints, authentication, and usage examples.
