Welcome to CiteHawk. This guide will help you set up your account and get the most out of AI brand monitoring.

Create Your First Brand
After signing up, the onboarding wizard walks you through adding your first brand. Enter your brand name and, optionally, related keywords that AI platforms might use when referring to your product or company. Keywords help CiteHawk cast a wider net when scanning AI responses.

Understanding Your Dashboard
Your dashboard leads with two scores: Visibility (is AI recommending you to buyers?) and Brand Health (does AI describe you accurately and positively?), alongside citation tracking and the individual AI responses that mention your brand. The Trends module shows how everything moves week over week.

Setting Up Alerts
Navigate to Settings, then Alerts to configure email notifications. You can receive alerts when your visibility score changes significantly, when new citations are discovered, or on a scheduled weekly digest.

Generating Reports
The Reports tab lets you generate on-demand or scheduled reports of your brand performance. Share a report link for stakeholder presentations or export to Google Sheets for further analysis. Each report captures visibility trends, citation details, and platform-by-platform breakdowns.

API Access
CiteHawk provides a REST API for programmatic access to your monitoring data. Generate an API key in Settings, then API Keys, and consult the API documentation for endpoints, authentication, and usage examples.
Frequently asked questions
How often is data collected?
Data is collected weekly (every Monday) from each AI platform via their official APIs, with a monthly allowance of manual runs per plan.
How are the scores calculated?
CiteHawk tracks two 0-100 scores. Visibility measures how widely and often AI recommends you in answers to buyer questions; Brand Health measures how accurately and positively AI describes you. Every number opens to the real AI answers behind it.
Which AI platforms do you monitor?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Grok, Copilot, and Google AI Overviews.
Can I monitor competitor brands?
Yes. Every plan includes competitor slots (more on higher tiers), and CiteHawk also discovers competitors automatically from AI responses. Workspaces and brands are unlimited on every plan: plans differ by prompt volume, markets, and manual runs, not brand count.
What happens after my free AI visibility report?
After your free report, you can choose a paid plan to start monitoring your brand weekly, or stay on the free report. Nothing is charged unless you pick a plan.
