Brand facts
Definition
Brand facts are the concrete, checkable claims AI assistants make about a brand: pricing, features, locations, founding details, integrations. Brand-fact monitoring extracts these claims from real answers and verifies each one as correct, outdated, or wrong.
Assistants state facts with the same confidence whether the facts are right or not. Because buyers rarely double-check, a wrong fact in an AI answer functions as misinformation delivered at the point of decision.
The discipline that fixes this is extraction and verification: pull every claim out of the collected answers, check it against the truth, and correct the sources the wrong claims came from. Absence of evidence is treated honestly; a claim that cannot be verified is not the same as a claim that is false.
