Regional divergence

Definition

Regional divergence is the difference between AI answers to the same question asked from different countries: the same category can have different leaders, or an entirely different shortlist, in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.

Engines localize more than most brands realize. A company dominant in its home market can be absent from answers a few time zones away, and a global aggregate quietly averages those differences into a number that is true nowhere.

For any brand selling in more than one country, visibility is a per-market question, and so are the fixes: the sources engines lean on differ by region too.
