Prompt battle
Definition
A prompt battle is the head-to-head contest inside a single buying question: for one prompt, which brands did the AI assistants name, in what order, and who won. Each tracked prompt is scored as won, contested, or lost, with the winner named.
Aggregate scores tell you how you are doing overall; battles tell you where. A brand can hold a strong average while quietly losing the three prompts that matter most commercially.
The battle frame makes visibility work concrete. "Improve our AI presence" is a mood; "take back the prompt we lost to a named rival" is a task with a before and after.
